Why have I wrote this list of the top gaming room must haves? Because you’ve done it! you’ve finally convinced the other half to let you have a gaming room, “it will make the living look tidy” was the pitch! “There’ll be fewer wires around the telly” actually clinched it!! You’ve got a kick PC or next-gen console, but what else do you need to make your mates sick with envy? You need the top gaming room must haves list.
Now I’m not gonna go on about what console or pc you need because if you’ve actually got the resources to create a gaming room, you’re way past choosing hardware to play on, but to make the most of your new-found oasis of gaming, I’m going to suggest a few items that will most definitely give you the edge in your gaming and the general ambience of your gamer cave.
Ok, you’re right what are the top gaming room must haves then?
X Rocker Olympus 4.1 Gamer Chair
You can’t dominate the streets of Call of Duty sat on a regular chair now can you? A dedicated gamer chair has 2 advantages firstly it puts you in the perfect position for you gaming, and secondly, depending on the one you buy, will provide you with kick-ass sound, if you don’t have good external speakers or a gaming headset.
The XRocker Olympus is my fav because of the 4.1 sound and the reactive sound reverb that really puts you in the action, plus you can pair it with your phone via bluetooth if you just wanna sit and chill with your music
Turtle Beach Stealth 700 Headset
Do you really need a gaming headset, the short answer is yes, i think you do. If you’ve never used a headset and you are serious about your gaming, particularly online games, try one and believe you’ll never game again without it. They provide the most immersive sound experience you will ever experience for not a great deal of money,
You could throw down £4000 on a Bose home cinema but for £150 you can get the same and more with this headset, plus and it’s a major plus you will unlock in-game chat which I am sure I don’t have to explain the benefits of that
For the purpose of this post I’ve suggested Turtle Beach’s midrange headset as you’ve gonna be spending a few quid on other gear, but if you’ve got the money you really need to check out the Stealth Pro Headset, read my review here
Gaming Desk
Depending on your budget on your room set-up, or just your personal preference, a gaming desk can really finish off the look of your gaming haven.
These probably are better for Pc gamers as you tend to be sat nearer the screen with Pc games over consoles, but i can imagine most of us have a need for a Pc as well as a console so this desk will help to keep things organised and looking cool as.
Rgb Led Light Rope Ideal for creating ambiance
You’ve got the chair, the headset and the desk but somethings missing, lights!! you need to set the mood so your mind is in the right place for gaming.
You can create the perfect backdrop for your gaming sessions with these lights that you can place around your screen, on the kick boards or anywhere you want so you’re lighting is just right, plus you can control it with an app which is cool.
Final, but important touches
You want your new gaff to look the part right? there’s a few cheeky touches that might seem unnecessary but will prove their place in your new utopia
Gaming Light
Cool little touch
Mini Fridge
Gaming is thirsty work.
Led Stand
Organise and charge your stuff
