For an in depth review of my favourite smart robot hoover check my post here What You Need To Know When Buying A Smart Robot Hoover Cleaning Performance: Evaluate the cleaning performance of the robot vacuum. Look for models with strong suction power and efficient cleaning algorithms that can effectively remove dirt, dust, and debris from various surfaces like hardwood floors, carpets, or tiles. Consider models with advanced cleaning features like multi-surface brushes or dual-action brushes for thorough cleaning. Also check what you actually need, are your floors all hard or are some carpet and some tiles on the same level, remember although these are really good, they still can’t go upstairs on their own!!! So if you want your whole house cleaning you’re buying 2 of these babies!!! Navigation and Mapping: Check the navigation and mapping capabilities of the robot vacuum. Advanced models use sensors, cameras, or laser mapping technologies to navigate and create maps of your home, allowing for efficient cleaning patterns and avoiding obstacles. Look for models that can map multiple rooms and provide customisable cleaning zones or no-go areas. As cheaper models are easily confused and miss parts of unmapped rooms. Battery Life and Charging: Assess the battery life and charging capabilities of the robot vacuum. Longer battery life is desirable, especially for larger homes, as it allows the robot vacuum to clean for extended periods without needing frequent recharging. Look for models that automatically return to the charging dock when the battery is low and can resume cleaning from where they left off after recharging. Dustbin Capacity and Filtration: Consider the dustbin capacity and filtration system of the robot vacuum. A larger dustbin capacity reduces the frequency of emptying, especially for homes with more significant cleaning needs. Additionally, look for models with high-efficiency filters like HEPA filters, which capture small particles and allergens, ensuring cleaner air quality. The ultra top end of the market smart robot hoovers can actually self-empty too! But you’re looking at major dough for these, like £1300 upwards. Smart Connectivity and Control: Check for smart connectivity and control features in the robot vacuum. This for me is a no brainer, we all know what can happen to tech, you could having your Sunday morning lie in and your new robot friend starts the cleaning, grab your phone and switch that thing off!!! You don’t wanna have to chase it round the house trying to switch it off when you’re hung over!! Look for models that can be controlled through a smartphone app, allowing you to start, stop, schedule cleanings, and adjust settings remotely. Compatibility with voice assistants like Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant is also a convenient feature for hands-free control. Virtual Boundaries and No-Go Zones: Consider models that offer virtual boundaries or no-go zones. This feature allows you to set virtual barriers or areas where the robot vacuum should not enter, preventing it from going into specific rooms or sensitive areas. For instance you could have a pet that gets spooked out by your new smart robot hoover, you get home not to find your house new and clean, but your hoover is in a thousand bits and your dog needs a trip to the vet!! Multi-Room Cleaning and Mapping: If you have a larger home or multiple floors, look for robot vacuums that support multi-room cleaning and mapping. These models can remember multiple maps, allowing them to clean different areas of your home without needing to remap each time. or clean different surfaces like carpets and hard surfaces. Height and Clearance: Assess the height and clearance of the robot vacuum. Ensure that it can fit under furniture, beds, and other low-clearance areas where traditional vacuum cleaners might not reach. A slimmer profile and lower height enable the robot vacuum to access more areas for thorough cleaning, but make sure you do your measurements right or it might get stuck under the bed!! Maintenance and Accessories: Consider the maintenance requirements and availability of accessories for the robot vacuum. Look for models with easily removable and washable brushes or filter components. Check if replacement parts like brushes, filters, or batteries are readily available and affordable. Brand Reputation and Customer Reviews: Research the reputation of the brand and read customer reviews to gauge the overall satisfaction with the robot vacuum. Established brands with a history of producing reliable and durable robot vacuums are often a safer choice. Price and Value for Money: Determine your budget range and compare prices across different robot vacuums. Consider the overall value for money by assessing the combination of cleaning performance, features, navigation capabilities, and brand reputation offered by each model. Warranty and Customer Support: Check the warranty offered by the manufacturer and the availability of customer support. A solid warranty and responsive customer support can provide assistance if any issues arise with the robot vacuum. By considering these factors, you can make an informed decision and choose a robot vacuum that aligns with your specific cleaning needs, budget, and desired features. Remember to read expert reviews, compare prices from reputable retailers, and if possible, try to demo or test the robot vacuum to assess its cleaning performance and navigation abilities. Do I Need One?

Need? you could say no-one needs one and everybody needs one. Need would depend on either if you need to cut down on your cleaning time or if you’re disabled this could be a game changer, I think want and desire is more apparent with this cool piece of tech. Yes i really want one because i hate hoovering, could i justify spending that much money one one??? yeah probably, but i’m a sucker for time saving tech.

How does it know when to start cleaning?

Answer: they come with an app where you can program a schedule

What if i live on 2 floors

unfortunately you’ll either have to carry it upstairs for one day then back down the next or if you’re a real player….buy 2!!

i have carpet and tiles

simple buy one that mops and hoovers!!
